As detailed in the earthenware section, a variety of hand building techniques are employed to make these pieces.

 

After bisque, the glazed pots are fired at temperatures between 1220 and 1250 degrees celsius in an electric kiln. Glazes used vary from self made, using raw materials, and commercial ones.

 

Coloured slips are sometimes applied to greenware and metal oxides are often used to highlight details.
